Center for prosthetics

Make your life complete

Mechanical thigh prostheses are a reliable and affordable solution for patients who need to replace a lost limb. These prostheses are characterized by their simple design and lightweight, making them easy to use and maintain. The main advantage of mechanical prostheses is their ability to provide basic functions and stability during walking.

The mechanical knee joints used in these prostheses work on the principle of friction, where resistance to bending is adjusted using screws. They can be equipped with springs to reduce friction during extension, which accelerates the movement of the knee joint during the swing phase of the step. These joints are suitable for patients who require a simple and reliable solution for everyday use.

One of the advantages of mechanical thigh prostheses is their cost-effectiveness. They are generally less expensive than hydraulic and pneumatic counterparts, making them accessible to a wider range of patients. Additionally, they require less maintenance, simplifying their use in daily life.

Mechanical thigh prostheses provide reliable control and stability, allowing patients to resume an active lifestyle. Thanks to their simple design and the use of durable materials, these prostheses last a long time and effectively perform their functions, helping restore mobility and independence.
